George's Pizza Restaurant: Authentic CT Greek Style Pizza & More in Hartford, CT

I moved away from the area about 30 years, but I came back specifically just for this CT greek style pizza, and it was just as I had hoped it would be. The pizza was absolutely delicious, and now my kids know why we still rave about CT greek style over other styles after all of these years. Thank you so much George's Pizza for still making amazing pizzas!

That passion translates beautifully into the food. The pizza? Simply unforgettable. The crust strikes a rare balance, crispy without being overly crunchy, with just the right chew. The sauce is harmoniously balanced: tangy, fresh, and layered with flavor. Baked to absolute perfection, each bite was a reminder of what pizza should be. But don’t let the name fool you. Gorges Pizza isn’t just about the pie. The salad I ordered was equally impressive: crisp, freshly-washed lettuce, vibrant tomatoes, and clean, sweet peppers. A simple dish, done exceptionally well. Words honestly fall short in capturing the experience. I drove two hours to get here, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Gorges Pizza is not just a meal, it’s a moment worth savoring.

We ordered a medium onion and hamburger pizza and it did not fail. The cheese pull on it was great! We also ordered onion rings and they were delicious. Everything came out fresh and hot. The server was very polite and the establishment was very clean. Definitely worth the trip.

Been coming here since 12 yrs old. They make best tuna grinder and pizza. My family love this place. Excellent customer service and family-owned business for many years there are delightful and very friendly people. I love coming here for many years and I'm still a loyal customer to this day love there food chicken wing too tuna grinder. Clean customer service is excellent. Owner are awesome people. Outside and inside dinning and takeout.

We love George's still the best pizza. We live out of state, so when we come back home, we always stop get our pizza. Still taste just as good as ever. They close to early that's the only down side.

They have been around for years for a reason! The Food and pizza is always delicious and the staff is always kind!

First time visiting Georges pizza and I was blown away by the flavors of the food. Meatball was amazing ! Garlic bread with cheese was a home run. Pizza was also very good. Crispy and not greasy. The only thing I didn’t like was the steak and cheese wrap. Stay was over cooked and they put lettuce inside de steak wrap. I only had a bite was not good. But definitely coming back to try more items from the menu. Price is reasonable you can sit down to eat or order to go.
